Our Story
For centuries, our Schweitzer family has strived to pass on our know-how and our passion for the vine from generation to generation.
Château de Thau, located on the Côtes de Bourg, was our first vineyard, which has grown over the years. The acquisition of new lands, vineyards and castles allowed us to vary our range of grape varieties, appellations and therefore wines. Our main goal was to perfect our offer while maintaining French and family know-how.
Our harvests have always been made and are still done today with the family. We can be found active in the cellars, in the vineyards or in the offices. The transmission of our own methods is our watchword.
Respect for the Earth and for people is one of our priorities.
We deploy gentle methods for reasoned agriculture and sustainable viticulture.
Since 2019, the Albert Schweitzer vineyards have been certified "High Environmental Value".

VINEYARDS
Today we have more than a hundred hectares of land, scattered throughout the region: Bourg, Blaye and Bordeaux.
The variety of our grape varieties and the aromatic richness that we are able to offer is a real source of pride!
OUR CHALLENGES
Passing on our methods to new generations and thus ensuring a high level of competence and an excellent mastery of transformation processes is our main objective.
Even if traditional methods are part of our techniques, we innovate every year through new machines, more responsible and sustainable products.
